Obidos Portugal

This post is all about pictures versus words. I am also promising to myself and to you more “travel” blogs. There is so much beauty out there in the world, and as a solo traveler it is nice to share my moments with someone.

Today is all about a small Medieval town called Obidos. I did a quick overnight here on my way to Porto Portugal from Lisbon.

Tiny winding streets were my biggest challenge but luckily with the perfect directions from my AirBnB host Joao, I made it to the door in one go.

The evening of my arrival it poured with rain and so I decided to grab a sandwich, stay in and catch up on some work. The next morning was a completely different story.

I got up before the sunrise, made my way to the top of the walled city, and for the next hour was greeted by the most spectacular of views. Plus, to top it off I was the only person around for as far as my eyes could see.

Here are a few pictures from the spectacular morning, and if you ever find yourself looking for an overnight in Obidos, this AirBnB will not disappoint. Plus the complimentary breakfast, will be all you need for the rest of your day.
